FEATURES:
- The Medium Duty Straightener has a generously sized cast iron frame, which houses the Seven Straightening and Four Pinch Rolls.
- The cast iron Fame Plates are precision machined to insure roll parallelism.
- All Lower Straightening and Pinch Rolls are driven by hardened Spur Gears.
- Upper Straightening Rolls are individually adjustable and include built-in Roll Position Indicators for ease of set up and job repeatability.
- Pneumatic Release of Inlet Pinch Roll for strip insertion is standard.
- All rolls are hardened to RC60, precision ground and loaded into cylindrical Needle Bearings for optimum performance.
- The Straightening Head is then securely fastened to a fabricated steel Cabinet Base for maximum rigidity.
- The inlet side of this machine includes Stock Entrance Support and Dampening Rolls with adjustable Vertical Guides.
- The exit side also features Support and Dampening Rolls.
- Variable radius Exit Cascade Rolls are available as an option.
- The Drive portion consists of an AC Motor coupled to a Worm Gear Reducer.
- A Roller Chain and sprocket arrangement transmits the power from the Reducer to the Input Shaft of the Straightener.
- To maintain constant line speed, a lightweight Dancer Arm is used with a variable frequency Inverter and monitors material demand to insure a smooth flow of straightened coil stock to the feeding device.
