FEATURES:

  1. The straightener is housed on a unitized steel weldment cabinet, which is constructed in

CWP’s rugged tradition.

  1. Cabinet has provisions for its recommended lagging to the floor.
  2. Machined steel top plates and roller housings, which are 1″ thick, contribute to a rigid and durable construction.
  3. All rolls are hardened and ground and set in anti-friction bearings.
  4. The upper straightening rolls are mounted in a single bank to enable simple two-point adjustment.
  5. Roll adjustment is transferred across the straightener with a chain and sprocket assembly to maintain parallelism.
  6. Power is efficiently distributed to all lower straightening rolls and both entry and exit pinch rolls by two drive shafts and a split gear train.
  7. Cluster gearing is used on pinch rolls to ensure proper mesh through all thickness adjustments.
  8. A heavy duty modulating drive system automatically regulates the output speed to the demand providing smooth delivery of material.
  9. A non-contact laser loop control sensor synchronizes slack material payout with related equipment.
  10. Loop control is adjustment free for operator ease.
  11. Controls include a forward and reverse jog feature for material threadup.
  12. Roller housings are calibrated to facilitate repeat roll settings.
  13. Exit cascade rolls support the straightened material in a gradual arc entering the looping area.
  14. Hardened collars are adjustable for edge guiding, at entry.
  15. A stock roller guide over the top of the entry support roll directs the flow of material from pull off type stock reels and maintains it between the edge guides.
  16. The drive and power train are totally enclosed, and the unit comes with data plates, cautionary signs, and a comprehensive operation and maintenance manual to foster safe, trouble-free performance.
